CSU C|M|LAW Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund

LET’S ACTIVATE OUR ALUMNI NETWORK FOR LAW STUDENTS!

CSU Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and the Cleveland-Marshall Law Alumni Association partner to raise funds for the CSU C|M|LAW Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund.

Supporting our law students is our greatest need now.

Unexpected expenses don't have to mean choosing to stay in school and struggling financially or dropping out to pay bills. The CSU C|M|LAW Emergency Financial Assistance Fund provides grants to law students experiencing a financial emergency - an unforeseen expense that, if not resolved quickly, could lead to a student’s departure from CSU C|M|LAW and/or loss of momentum toward graduation.

Your donation will ease our students’ economic hardship during this critical time.

While CSU C|M|LAW remains committed to preparing the next generation of legal leaders, many of our students are confronting serious financial challenges such as paying rent and utilities or purchasing a laptop with a camera for online learning. In addition, many law students have lost part-time jobs, paid summer opportunities, and our graduating students face the uncertainty of the Bar Exam and job prospects long-term.

More ways to support law students and others.

  • Hire a law student or graduating student. Current students have lost summer job opportunities, externship positions, and full-time jobs. Graduating students face much uncertainty about permanent employment. So if you or anyone you know can help by hiring a law student or graduating student in a law clerk role, for part-time project-based research, or for a specific writing or other assignment, please complete our job posting form or contact Sarah Beznoska, Assistant Dean for Student and Career Services at s.beznoska@csuohio.edu.
  • Support future law students. If you can also support the Lift Up Vikes! Fund, which provides Cleveland State University’s undergraduate students the resources they need to complete their education, go here.
  • Share how we’re all In This Together, #ItTCMLAW. We want to hear your stories about staying at home, your new work environment, staying engaged in the community, or share cute photos of your pets or children! Tag us on social media and use the hashtag #ItTCMLAW

Thank you for assisting our students now!

If you prefer to support the Dean’s Innovation Fund, which allows us to help our students with non-emergency matters, or any other fund at the law school, please do so here.
